The polarization is not strong. I was not able to detect tempered glass like highly polarized lenses. I was able to detect it only when looking at my smart phone screen. The gray look is always there, even indoors because of the polarization. It does not darken unless in UV so it will not darken when warn in a car.

It is polarized. Thats true. Reacts to direct sunshine as picture shows? Not really. Darkens after a while but you would not notice if you wear it. Just a little darker. Not as shown. Quality itself is fine.

even this item is well made and not expensive, it is not dark enough for summer sun (well, any sun). first picture with light grey glasses is the most darkest you will get. try to "train" glasses with strong light, but training didn't do anything.

The photochromic doesn’t get dark in direct sunlight. They hardly get darker than the cloudy day illustration. They are not good for night driving, as they stay tinted and never get clear in dark environment.
